Slim DVD Burner for USB-C Laptops
The ASUS ZenDrive V1M is a slim external DVD writer that connects through a USB-C port. It targets owners of modern ultraslim notebooks that lack an internal optical drive but still need to read or write discs.
8X DVD and 24X CD Write Speeds
The drive writes DVD+R, DVD+RW and DVD-R at 8X and DVD-RW at 6X. Dual-layer DVD recording reaches 6X. CD-R and CD-RW burn at 24X. M-DISC support allows archival storage rated for up to 1000 years on compatible media.
USB-C Interface and Cable Storage
A built-in 24 cm USB-C cable stores inside the chassis for travel. The interface limits maximum throughput to the USB 2.0 signalling rate, so sustained transfer tops out well below the write speeds of faster internal drives. Blu-ray read or write is not supported.
