High-end air cooling for 280 W TDP

The Dark Rock Elite is a dual-tower CPU air cooler rated for 280 W of thermal design power. It uses seven copper heat pipes and two 135 mm Silent Wings PWM fans to move 80-85 CFM of air across an aluminium and copper heatsink. The cooler stands 168 mm tall and fits Intel LGA 1851, 1700, 1200, 1150, 1151, 1155 plus AMD AM5 and AM4 sockets. Addressable RGB lighting on the top cover adds visual accent.

Builders who need maximum RAM clearance or low noise

The front fan mounts on a five-step rail so it can be raised above tall memory modules, making the cooler practical for densely populated boards. A physical speed switch selects between Quiet Mode capped at 25.8 dB(A) and Performance Mode for higher airflow. Systems that require liquid cooling for extreme overclocks or cases with less than 168 mm of cooler clearance should consider other solutions.

Sustained loads stay controlled through dual-mode

Under continuous heavy workloads the seven heat pipes spread heat quickly across the 120 x 136 mm fin array while both fans maintain steady pressure. In Performance Mode the fans spin up to 2000 RPM to keep temperatures stable over long sessions. Quiet Mode reduces the RPM ceiling for near-silent running when the CPU operates at moderate loads for extended periods.
