Tower desktop for AI workloads

The Dell EBT2250 is a new tower desktop built around the Intel Core Ultra 9 285 processor with 24 cores and a 5.6 GHz maximum turbo frequency. It includes 16 GB of DDR5 5600 MHz memory, a 512 GB NVMe SSD and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card with 12 GB of GDDR7 memory. Windows 11 Pro, a wired keyboard and a wired mouse are included.

Upgrade from limited GPU memory

This system replaces a desktop that relies on integrated graphics or an older GPU with less video memory. The 12 GB GDDR7 frame buffer on the RTX 5070 makes the jump worthwhile for local AI inference, 3D rendering or high-resolution gaming where 8 GB or less becomes a bottleneck. The 24-core CPU and NPU further accelerate workloads that earlier 8-core or 12-core platforms cannot finish in reasonable time.

Check power and display connections

Verify that your mains supply can deliver the wattage this tower requires and that your monitor accepts DisplayPort 1.4a or HDMI 2.1a signals for full resolution and refresh rate. The chassis provides front USB 3.2 Type-A Gen 1, a USB 3.2 Type-C Gen 2 port, an SD card slot and a headset jack, while the rear adds four USB 2.0 ports, two more USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, three DisplayPort outputs, one HDMI output, Gigabit Ethernet, S/PDIF optical audio and a Kensington lock slot.
