Blade server for dense compute

The Dell PowerEdge MX760C is a half-width blade fitted with two Intel Gold 6448Y processors running at 2.1GHz with 32 cores each and 60M cache. It ships with 512GB of DDR4 memory in 16 modules rated at PC5-4800. Four 1.92TB SATA SSDs are installed behind an H755 MX RAID controller.

Fits a PowerEdge MX chassis

The blade occupies one half-width slot in a compatible Dell PowerEdge MX enclosure and uses up to two pairs of Fabric A and B switch or pass-through bays plus a Fabric C storage bay pair, none of which are included. The chassis provides six 2.5-inch drive bays, leaving two bays free for future expansion. A Marvell FastLinQ 41262 mezzanine card delivers two 25Gb connections for converged network traffic.

Cooled by the shared chassis

Thermal management relies on the enclosure’s fan infrastructure, so blade-level noise and power draw are determined by the shared cooling system rather than local fans. The H755 MX controller manages the SATA SSD array without an additional optical drive. Remote monitoring and firmware updates are handled through iDRAC9 Express.
