Compact 1U rack server for dense compute

The Dell PowerEdge R440 is a 1U rackmount server built for space-efficient deployment in data centres and business environments. It ships with two Intel Xeon Gold 6130 processors running at 2.1GHz with 3.7GHz turbo across 16 cores each. The system includes 128GB of DDR4-2666 ECC registered memory configured as eight 16GB modules. This configuration targets virtualization, cloud infrastructure and database workloads.

PERC H330 controller with eight 2.5" bays

Storage is handled by a Dell PERC H330 12Gb/s SAS/SATA controller connected to eight front-accessible 2.5-inch drive bays. All bays are populated with drive fillers, leaving the chassis ready for SAS, SATA or solid-state drives without additional cabling. Dual integrated Gigabit Ethernet ports provide baseline network connectivity. Two hot-plug 550W platinum power supplies deliver redundant power for continuous operation. PCIe expansion slots remain available for additional networking or storage cards.

iDRAC 9 Express remote management included

The integrated Dell Remote Access Controller 9 Express enables out-of-band monitoring, firmware updates and remote console access over the network. This allows administrators to manage the server without physical presence in the rack. The unit ships without a front bezel or ready rails, so rack mounting hardware must be sourced separately. No operating system or hypervisor licence is bundled with the hardware.
