Dual 12-core Xeon Gold 5118 server

The Dell PowerEdge R540 is a 2U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon Gold 5118 processors running at 2.3 GHz with a 3.2 GHz turbo frequency. Each processor provides twelve cores for a total of twenty-four cores. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory installed across four slots. The system is designed for virtualization, database hosting and business-critical workloads.

8-bay 3.5-inch SAS chassis with HBA330

The chassis holds eight 3.5-inch drive bays populated with 4 TB 7.2 K SAS drives connected to a Dell PERC HBA330 12 Gb/s controller. Sixteen DIMM slots allow memory expansion up to 384 GB. Two redundant 750 W platinum power supplies provide hot-swap power redundancy. Ready rails and a front bezel are included for rack mounting.

iDRAC9 Enterprise remote management

Integrated iDRAC9 Enterprise enables out-of-band monitoring, automation and remote administration without requiring an operating system. Dual-port gigabit Ethernet provides baseline network connectivity. The HBA330 controller supports both SAS and SATA drives for flexible storage configurations.
