The Dell PowerEdge R540 is a 2U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon Silver 4114 processors running at 2.2 GHz with a 3.0 GHz turbo frequency. Each CPU provides 10 cores for a total of 20 cores across the system. It comes with 128 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory installed across 8 of the 16 available slots. This configuration suits organisations running virtualisation clusters, database workloads or file servers that benefit from eight 3.5-inch drive bays.
