The motherboard supports a second processor up to a maximum of two CPUs using the Intel C610 chipset. Memory expansion uses DDR4 modules only, with 24 slots total and a per-processor limit of 12 slots. The chassis holds up to eight 2.5-inch hot-plug SAS or SATA drives, and the H330 controller handles 12Gbps SAS connectivity.

Redundant power and remote management included

Two 750W hot-swap power supplies deliver N+1 redundancy without extra cabling. The integrated iDRAC8 with Lifecycle Controller enables out-of-band remote management, firmware updates and hardware monitoring from any browser. A dedicated PERC slot leaves up to three PCIe 3.0 slots free for additional network or storage cards. No operating system is included, so you must supply your own hypervisor or OS licences.
