The Dell PowerEdge R640 is a 1U rack server built for dense scale-out data centre computing. It ships with two Intel Xeon Gold 6134 processors, each running at 3.2 GHz with eight cores. The system includes 128 GB of DDR4 2666 MHz registered ECC memory across eight 16 GB modules. Eight 300 GB 10K SAS drives and a PERC H730P controller provide internal storage.

Dual 750 W platinum-efficiency power supplies deliver redundant hot-swap power for continuous operation.
