SAS controller and 10 GbE limit single-thread speed

The PERC H730 RAID controller manages SAS and SATA drives through a PCIe 3.0 x8 link, capping sustained throughput at the controller and bus level. Dual 10 GbE ports on the Intel X540 adapter restrict network-bound workloads to 10 Gbps per port, while the integrated 1 GbE pair handles management traffic only.

Redundant 1100 W supplies

Two hot-plug 1100 W power supplies deliver N+1 redundancy so a single failure does not halt operations.
