It includes twelve 4TB 7.2K SATA hard drives, a quad-port 1GbE OCP 3.0 network card, iDRAC9 Enterprise remote management and dual 1400W platinum power supplies. Ready rails and front bezel are supplied.

Buyers who need 2.5" drive bays, NVMe storage or higher-speed network interfaces should consider other configurations. The chassis provides twelve 3.5" bays and the installed controller operates over SATA and SAS. Workloads requiring more than 1TB of memory will need additional DIMMs up to the 2TB maximum.

12x 3.5" SATA bays with H755 RAID controller

The storage subsystem centres on the Dell PERC H755 controller with 8GB NV cache and battery backup, supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 across the twelve installed 4TB drives. The controller manages SATA and SAS devices; NVMe drives are not supported by this card. Expansion beyond the twelve bays requires a different chassis.
