The Dell PowerEdge T440 is a 5U tower server fitted with two Intel Xeon Gold 5218 processors running at 2.3 GHz with a 3.9 GHz turbo. Sixteen cores per processor deliver 32 cores total for virtualization, database hosting, and business-critical workloads. Thirty-two gigabytes of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory are installed across four slots. The chassis supports up to sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap drive bays for SAS, SATA, or SSD storage.

PERC H330 controller and trays

A Dell PERC H330 12 Gb/s SAS/SATA storage controller manages the array and provides RAID capability for the installed drives. Four 2.5-inch drive trays are included so you can populate a portion of the bays immediately. Integrated dual-port Gigabit Ethernet handles network connectivity, while iDRAC 9 Express gives remote management access for monitoring and deployment. The system ships without a front bezel or ready rails.

Two hot-swap 750 watt platinum-efficiency power supplies provide redundant power with no downtime during a module replacement. The 5U form factor fits a standard rack when the optional conversion kit is added, and the sixteen-bay front panel keeps storage density high.
