Steel MicroATX Mid Tower

The Fractal Design Core 1000 is a steel microATX mid tower built for compact desktop builds. It accepts Mini-ITX and Micro-ATX motherboards and comes without a power supply. The case targets users who want a tidy, quiet chassis with room for long graphics cards and multiple drive configurations. A pre-installed front 120mm fan provides baseline airflow out of the box.

350 mm maximum GPU length

The single specification that determines fit is the 350 mm maximum graphics card length. An innovative vertical drive bracket clears space behind the motherboard tray to allow full-length cards in a compact footprint. If your GPU exceeds this length, the case will not accommodate it. The bracket also supports combinations of 2.5" and 3.5" drives mounted with anti-vibration grommets.

Thermals, noise and power draw

A Silent Series R2 120mm fan is pre-installed at the front behind a mesh panel, with mounts available for a 92mm rear fan and a 120mm side fan. A side air duct and removable front dust filter help maintain clean airflow paths. The CPU cooler clearance is 148 mm and the power supply bay accepts units up to 185 mm deep when an optical drive is fitted.
