The HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 is a 1U rack server fitted with a single Intel Xeon E5-2620 v3 six-core processor running at 2.4GHz and 16GB of DDR4 memory. It includes the B140i software RAID controller that supports RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 for SATA drives. Two 500W redundant hot-swap power supplies are installed.

This server suits buyers who need a dense 1U platform with redundant power and SATA RAID for virtualisation or file workloads. It does not suit buyers who require hardware RAID acceleration or more than 16GB of installed memory without adding modules. Buyers who need drive bays beyond the eight 2.5-inch SFF slots should evaluate other options.

Deciding Specification

The B140i controller provides software RAID for SATA drives only, so SAS drives will not be managed by this controller.
