The HPE BL460c Gen10 blade fits a standard c-Class enclosure and delivers two Xeon Platinum 8158 processors running at 3.0 GHz with twelve cores each. Sixty-four gigabytes of DDR4 ECC registered memory and a Smart Array P204i-b SR controller are installed, supporting the two 300 GB 10K SAS drives. Integrated Lights-Out Advanced and a FlexFabric 20 Gb two-port adapter provide remote management and network connectivity.

Suited to dense compute clusters

This blade serves organisations that run virtualisation hosts, database nodes or high-performance applications inside an existing c-Class chassis. It is not suited to workloads that require more than two internal 2.5-inch drives, GPU acceleration, or memory beyond the 128 GB maximum. Buyers without a compatible enclosure or those needing larger local storage should consider alternative form factors.

Two-drive SAS limit defines capacity

The chassis accepts only two 2.5-inch SAS drives, so total raw storage is capped at 600 GB with the supplied 300 GB units. Expansion beyond this requires external arrays or shared storage. Verify that the two-drive constraint matches your data-locality requirements before purchase.
