MAIWO K1689P M.2 NVMe Enclosure

The MAIWO K1689P is a USB 3.2 Gen 2 enclosure that turns a single M.2 NVMe M-Key drive into portable storage. It accepts 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 form factors up to 4 TB and works with Windows, macOS, Linux and Android devices.

Tool-free installation with rubber retention

A sliding aluminum cover opens without tools; the drive slides into the M-Key slot and is secured by a supplied rubber plug and a thermal pad. The enclosure only supports PCIe NVMe M-Key SSDs — SATA, PCIe AHCI, Wi-Fi or capture cards will not function. Remember to format the drive on first use.

USB 3.2 Gen 2 10 Gbps practical limits

The Type-C interface delivers a theoretical 10 Gbps and is backward compatible with USB 3.1 Gen 1 and USB 3.0 at 5 Gbps. Real-world throughput depends on the host controller, cable quality and the SSD's own sustained speeds. Thunderbolt 3 hosts can also be used for full performance.
