LGA 1151 motherboard for 6th and 7th Gen Intel

This refurbished MSI Z270-A PRO board uses the Intel Z270 chipset and an LGA 1151 socket. It accepts 6th and 7th Gen Intel Core i3, i5, i7, Pentium and Celeron processors. The board is not compatible with 8th Gen CPUs. It targets home, office and gaming builds that need a stable ATX platform.

Memory slots and M.2 keying to verify

Four 288-pin DDR4 slots support up to 64 GB in dual-channel mode. Speeds vary by processor generation, ranging from 2133 MHz to 3800 MHz with overclocking. The single M.2 slot uses Key M and accepts 2242, 2260, 2280 and 22110 devices, supporting both SATA and PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe drives. Installing a SATA M.2 SSD disables the first SATA port.

Audio, LAN and RAID capabilities

Onboard audio uses the Realtek ALC892 codec with 7.1-channel output. Networking is handled by a Realtek RTL8111H controller. Six SATA 6Gb/s ports offer RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 arrays. Two PCIe 3.0 x16 slots run in x16 or x4 mode, and four PCIe 3.0 x1 slots provide additional expansion for multi-GPU or mining configurations.
