Premium quiet 140mm case fan

The Noctua NF-A14 ULN is a 140mm square-frame case fan built for ultra-low-noise cooling. It targets silent-PC enthusiasts who need near-silent airflow for radiators, cases or CPU coolers. The 3-pin connector provides simple voltage control without PWM complexity.

3-pin voltage control limits

A 3-pin connector adjusts speed by varying voltage, so the motherboard or controller must support voltage regulation for quiet operation. Without PWM the fan cannot report its exact RPM back to the system for closed-loop control. The supplied Low-Noise Adaptor drops voltage further to reach the lower speed setting.

800 RPM airflow and acoustic headroom

At the standard 800 RPM the fan moves 79.8 m3/h at 11.9 dB(A), suitable for low-restriction case intake or exhaust. With the adaptor fitted it runs at 650 RPM, delivering 66.4 m3/h at 9.1 dB(A) for stricter silence targets. Dense radiator fins or long duct runs will reduce airflow below these open-air figures.

Preguntas sobre este artículo

Should I pick the 800 RPM or 650 RPM setting for my build?

Run the fan at 800 RPM for maximum airflow of 79.8 m³/h at 11.9 dB(A), or attach the supplied Low-Noise Adaptor to drop it to 650 RPM for 66.4 m³/h at 9.1 dB(A) when silence matters most.

What does 11.9 dB(A) mean once the fan is installed in my case?

At 11.9 dB(A) the fan is barely audible in a quiet room; with the Low-Noise Adaptor fitted it falls to 9.1 dB(A), making it practically inaudible against typical ambient noise.

How does the 3-pin connector limit speed control?

The 3-pin Molex connector allows voltage-based speed regulation from the motherboard or the included Low-Noise Adaptor, but does not support PWM duty-cycle control.
