Four-bay SATA enclosure for 2.5 and 3.5 drives

The Orico 3549C3 is a four-bay dock that accepts both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch SATA hard drives or SSDs. It is built from aluminium with a built-in fan and honeycomb vents for cooling. A 150 W internal power supply drives all bays and the unit supports daisy-chaining up to three enclosures via its two USB-C ports.

USB 3.1 Gen 2 host link capped by SATA III

The enclosure connects to the host over USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C at up to 10 Gbps. Because each drive uses a SATA III interface, per-drive throughput cannot exceed 6 Gbps regardless of the faster host link. The second USB-C port serves as a downstream hub for chaining additional 3549C3 or 3559C3 units.

Maximum 16 TB per bay and 192 TB total

Each bay supports a single drive up to 16 TB, giving 64 TB per enclosure. Daisy-chaining three units raises the combined ceiling to 192 TB. Buyers who need more than 16 TB per drive slot or who require hardware RAID must choose a different platform.
