Orico 10Gbps NVMe Enclosure
The Orico AM2C3-G2 is a single-bay M.2 NVMe enclosure built for users who need fast external storage from a PCIe drive. It accepts M-key modules in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 lengths up to 4TB capacity. The aluminium shell doubles as a heatsink with a silicone thermal pad. A USB 3.1 Type-C port delivers up to 10Gbps bandwidth.
Dual 10Gbps cable and tool-free entry
A 2-in-1 cable provides both USB-C to USB-A and USB-C to USB-C connectors, each rated for 10Gbps, so the enclosure works with laptops, desktops, phones and consoles. The tool-free latch opens with one click for quick drive swaps. UASP and TRIM support maintain SSD performance across Windows, macOS, Linux and Android. Thunderbolt 3 hosts are also compatible.
Suits portable NVMe workflows, not SATA drives
Ideal for creators and IT staff moving large datasets between multiple USB-C or USB-A devices without tools. The enclosure only supports NVMe M-key SSDs; SATA-based M.2 drives will not function. Buyers needing SATA support or multi-bay RAID should consider other models.

Preguntas sobre este artículo
Does the 10Gbps USB 3.2 Gen2 interface need any firmware updates to maintain speed?
The enclosure uses a fixed USB 3.2 Gen2 controller that does not expose user-updatable firmware, so no firmware maintenance is required for the 10Gbps link.
What is the first limit reached when the 800-1200MB/s NVMe drive runs sustained writes inside the 112.5x39x17mm aluminum case?
Thermal throttling of the SSD itself appears first; the aluminum shell and long silicone pad spread heat, but the compact 17mm height limits dissipation during prolonged heavy writes.
How much fan noise or active cooling does the enclosure add when the SSD runs all day?
None — the design is completely passive with an aluminum heatsink and silicone thermal pad, so it adds zero audible noise and draws no extra power beyond the SSD.
