The Orico M2R2-G2 is an aluminium enclosure that turns a single M.2 NVMe solid-state drive into a portable USB-C device. It accepts M-key and B+M-key modules in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 lengths and works with Windows, Mac and Linux without driver installation.
USB 3.1 Gen2 10Gbps interface limit
The enclosure connects through a USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C port with a theoretical ceiling of 10Gbps. Real-world throughput will be lower because of protocol overhead, cable quality and the host controller, so the drive inside cannot saturate its native PCIe link.
Up to 4TB capacity headroom
