Server-grade ECC registered kit

This OWC kit delivers 256 GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory in four 64 GB modules. It is built for HP Apollo 4200 Gen10 and 6500 Gen10 servers and workstations that require registered DIMMs with error correction. The modules will not work in standard desktop PCs or in systems that use unbuffered or load-reduced memory.

DDR4 2933 registered interface limits

The modules run at 2933 MT/s with CL21 latency at 1.2 V and conform to the PC4-23400 standard. They are backward compatible with 2133, 2400 and 2666 MT/s bus speeds, so they will clock down automatically when the platform requires it. Registered signalling adds one cycle of command delay, which is mandatory for the supported Apollo platforms.

256 GB capacity for dense workloads

Four 64 GB 2Rx4 DIMMs fill four slots and provide the maximum supported density per module for these Apollo systems. The kit suits virtualisation, large databases and high-thread-count compute where memory capacity is the primary bottleneck. Systems that need more than 256 GB per socket or that only accept unbuffered DIMMs cannot use this kit.
