High-density 4U server chassis

The Rosewill RSV-L4500U-SK is a 4U rackmount chassis that holds fifteen 3.5-inch hard drives and accepts ATX or E-ATX motherboards. Eight pre-installed fans, including six Sudokoo SK120 PWM units, deliver high airflow across the drive bays and expansion area. A front-panel lock and LED indicators for power, drive activity and dual LAN ports add physical security and at-a-glance monitoring. Two USB 3.0 ports sit on the front for quick peripheral access.

Upgrade from smaller storage enclosures

Builders moving from 2U or tower cases that limit drive counts to eight or fewer gain seven additional 3.5-inch bays without expanding rack height. The jump is worth it when a single chassis must consolidate bulk storage, a full-size motherboard and up to seven PCI add-in cards. Systems that need only a handful of drives or cannot accommodate a 4U rack depth will not benefit from the extra capacity.

Sustained-load thermal behaviour

Under continuous operation the six front 120 mm fans spin between 500 and 3000 RPM to maintain steady airflow through all fifteen drive bays, while two rear 80 mm fans exhaust heated air. With the middle fan bracket installed, graphics cards up to 320 mm are supported; removing it extends clearance to 400 mm. CPU cooler height is limited to 117 mm when the GPU holder is fitted and 152 mm without it, so sustained CPU loads require a low-profile cooler in dense configurations.
