Dual 14-core Xeon 1U server

The Supermicro SYS-6018U-TR4T+ is a 1U rackmount server system fitted with two Intel Xeon E5-2660 v4 processors. Each CPU runs at 2.0 GHz with a 3.2 GHz turbo frequency and provides 14 cores. The platform includes 512 GB of DDR4 2400 MHz registered ECC memory across 16 DIMM slots.

Virtualisation hosts needing dense compute

This server suits teams that run memory-heavy virtualisation, high-performance computing or cloud workloads in a single rack unit. Buyers who require front-access 2.5-inch drive bays or more than four 3.5-inch hot-plug trays should look elsewhere. The installed Matrox G200 graphics with 8 MB video memory also rules out any GPU-accelerated workloads.

Slide-in rails and cable routing

The chassis accepts standard 1U rails and uses hot-swap redundant 750 W platinum power supplies that can be replaced without tools. Installers must supply their own rack rails and front bezel because neither is included. The MegaRAID 9361-8i controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60, but the battery-backed cache module must be seated firmly or the array will fall back to write-through mode.
