Intel Core Ultra Series 2 platform

This ATX motherboard uses the Intel B860 chipset and LGA 1851 socket to support Intel Core Ultra processors (Series 2). A 14+1+1+1+1 phase power design with 80A Dr.MOS delivers stable current for the CPU cores graphics and system agent. Four DDR5 slots accept up to 256GB of non-ECC un-buffered memory running at 8666+(OC) with Intel XMP 3.0 and CUDIMM support.

Expansion layout and storage

The CPU provides one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot operating at x16 and one Blazing M.2 socket for a 2280 PCIe Gen5x4 drive at 128 Gb/s. The chipset adds a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot at x2 plus two Hyper M.2 sockets accepting 2230 2242 2260 or 2280 PCIe Gen4x4 drives at 64 Gb/s. Four SATA 6Gb/s ports support RAID 0 1 5 and 10 for additional arrays.

Rear I/O and audio

Graphics output includes one HDMI one DisplayPort and one Thunderbolt 4 Type-C connector. Dragon RTL8125BG LAN provides wired networking while Realtek ALC1220 codec with Nahimic Audio delivers 7.1 CH HD audio. These integrated interfaces reduce the need for add-in cards and free expansion slots for other devices.
