Socket and processor support

The board uses the LGA 1851 socket for Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors. The Intel B860 chipset provides the platform foundation. Four DDR5 slots accept up to 256 GB in dual-channel mode.

Memory capacity and speed limits

Memory runs up to 8666 MT/s with XMP 3.0 profiles on non-ECC unbuffered DIMMs. The 256 GB ceiling is reached only when all four slots are populated with high-density modules. Two slots leave headroom for later expansion.

Expansion slots and onboard audio

One PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and one PCIe 4.0 x4 slot handle graphics and add-in cards. Three M.2 sockets support 2280 drives, with the top slot wired for Gen5 x4 speeds. Realtek ALC897 delivers 7.1-channel audio with Nahimic software.
