The ASUS Z790 GAMING WIFI7 motherboard supports Intel Core 12th, 13th and 14th generation processors on an LGA 1700 socket. It uses the Intel Z790 chipset and delivers a 14+1 DrMOS power design with 6-layer PCB for stable operation. Four DDR5 slots accept up to 192 GB of memory running at speeds up to 7200 MT/s when overclocked.

Connectivity suite built around Wi-Fi 7 and PCIe 5.0

The board includes one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot for graphics cards and three PCIe 4.0 x16 slots operating at x4 mode. Three M.2 slots support drives up to 22110 length on PCIe 4.0 x4. Networking uses Realtek 1Gb Ethernet alongside Wi-Fi 7 with 2x2 antenna configuration on 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz bands.
