The Dell PowerEdge R730 is a 2U rack server built around a single Intel Xeon E5-2650 v3 ten-core processor running at 2.3GHz with 20 virtual threads. It ships with 64GB of DDR4 memory across 24 DIMM slots and two 300GB 15K SAS drives managed by a PERC H330 controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, 50 and 60. Dual 750W redundant power supplies and an iDRAC8 remote-management card complete the platform for dense virtualisation or database workloads.

Before ordering

Verify that your rack can accommodate a 2U chassis measuring 26.8 inches deep by 17.44 inches wide and weighing 58 lbs. Confirm the facility provides redundant AC circuits for the hot-swap power supplies and that your network infrastructure can use the four onboard 1GbE ports or an optional 10GbE daughter card.
