Dual Xeon E5-2630 v3 processors provide 16 physical cores and 32 threads at 2.4 GHz, while 64 GB of DDR4 memory occupies part of the 24 available DIMM slots. Three 1 TB 7.2K SATA drives and a PERC H330 RAID controller are installed, and dual 750 W redundant power supplies keep the system running during a module failure.

Suits cold storage and virtualization hosts

This configuration works well for backup repositories, archival workloads and moderate-density virtualization clusters that value drive count over raw IOPS. The H330 controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, 50 and 60 across SATA or SAS media, and the four onboard 1 GbE ports handle basic network connectivity.
