The ICY DOCK MB992SKR-B is a ToughArmor mobile rack that fits two 2.5" SATA hard drives or solid-state drives up to 9.5 mm tall into one 3.5" front device bay. A built-in hardware RAID controller offers RAID 0, RAID 1, JBOD and BIG modes selectable on the unit. The enclosure connects through a single SATA 7-pin host interface and a SATA 15-pin power connector. Full metal construction meets flammability requirements for rugged environments.

Builders who want hardware RAID 0 or RAID 1 without using a motherboard controller will find the integrated processor convenient. The removable tray system supports hot swap so drives can be changed without powering down. Front LED indicators show power, access, drive fail and RAID 1 rebuild status at a glance.
