The Vertiv PSI5-800RT120N is a line-interactive UPS rated at 800VA and 720W, built for 120V environments. It protects active PFC power supplies, conventional power supplies, networking gear, workstations and point-of-sale systems in media closets or small racks. Six NEMA 5-15R outlets and a rotating LCD give clear status in either rack or tower orientation.
Upgrade from basic surge strips
This unit adds automatic voltage regulation across a 75-146VAC input window and pure battery backup with 5.5 minutes at full load or 16 minutes at half load. The jump is worthwhile when equipment needs orderly shutdown time or when voltage sags and swells exceed what a strip can absorb. It is not suited for loads that exceed 720W or for installations requiring extended runtime beyond the internal battery.
Simple 2U rack or tower setup
The 2U convertible chassis mounts in standard racks or sits as a tower with the display rotated. A hot-swappable battery cartridge (PSI5-24VBATT) reaches 90% charge in four hours. The only common pitfall is forgetting to configure the output voltage (100/110/115/125VAC) to match the connected gear before powering on.
