The Dell PowerEdge R740 is a 2U rack server fitted with two Intel Xeon Silver 4116 processors, each running at 2.1 GHz with 12 cores. Storage and networking ready

Eight 2.5-inch drive bays are populated with 2.4 TB 10 K SAS hard drives connected to a PERC H730P controller with 2 GB cache and battery backup.
