Two USB-C ports via PCIe 3.0 x4
This EN-Labs expansion card adds two USB-C connectors to a desktop through a PCIe 3.0 x4 slot. It fits PCIe x4, x8 or x16 slots but will not work in an x1 slot. The ASMedia ASM3142 controller supplies dedicated bandwidth to each port. It targets builders who need front-panel USB-C without replacing the motherboard.
Passive cooling with optional SATA power
The card uses passive cooling so it adds no fan noise to the system. Each USB-C port can draw up to 900mA when the optional SATA 15-pin power connector is attached. Without that connector the ports rely on slot power alone. The design suits quiet workstations where thermal headroom is limited.
Full-height and low-profile brackets included
Both full-height and low-profile brackets ship in the box so the card fits standard towers and slim cases alike. Two USB-C ports sit on the bracket for direct cable access. Backward compatibility covers USB 3.1, 3.0 and 2.0 devices. Buyers who need more than two USB-C ports or internal headers will need a different solution.

この商品に関する質問
How do I install the card in a low-profile case and which step is often missed?
Fit the low-profile bracket first, insert the card into a PCIe 3.0 x4, x8 or x16 slot, then connect the SATA 15PIN power cable so each USB-C port can deliver 900mA.
What part will need attention or replacement after extended use?
The SATA 15PIN power connector and its cable are the only serviceable items; the ASM3142 controller and USB-C ports have no user-replaceable components.
What limit appears first when both ports run at 10Gbps continuously?
The PCIe 3.0 x4 host link caps combined throughput at 10Gbps per port, so sustained dual-port transfers sit at the bus ceiling.
