Redundant power and 24-bay SAS storage

Dual hot-swap 500 W power supplies provide redundancy for continuous operation. The Smart Array P440 controller with 4 GB flash-backed write cache manages two 146 GB 15 K 6 Gbps SAS drives in 2.5-inch bays and supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 across 24 SFF bays. An optional rear cage adds two more bays without increasing rack height.

Upgrades from single-socket or smaller arrays

The platform replaces single-socket towers or 1U units that lack redundant power or the 24-bay capacity for local SAS storage.
