It targets builders who need strong single-thread speed and high core counts for local AI inference, rendering or compilation. The board uses the AMD X870 chipset and AM5 socket to support Ryzen 7000, 8000 and 9000 series CPUs.
The board implements a 16+2+1 phase design with 80A SPS power stages on an eight-layer PCB. Dual eight-pin ProCool connectors feed the VRM during long AVX or AI loads without throttling. AI Cooling II and AI Overclocking adjust fan curves and voltages in real time to keep temperatures stable. Four M.2 slots — two PCIe 5.0 and two PCIe 4.0 — maintain throughput for large model weights and scratch disks during extended sessions.
Memory tops out at 256 GB across four 288-pin slots running dual-channel DDR5 with AMD EXPO, Intel XMP and ASUS AEMP profiles. The CPU officially supports DDR5-5600; higher speeds depend on silicon quality and board tuning. Storage uses four M.2 sockets and two SATA 6 Gb/s ports; the board does not expose additional PCIe lanes beyond the listed slots.
