This 2U rack server ships with a single Intel Xeon E5-2650v3 ten-core processor running at 2.3 GHz and 128 GB of DDR4 memory installed across 24 DIMM slots. It targets workloads that need dense compute and large memory capacity in a standard rack footprint. The integrated PERC H330 controller handles RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, 50 and 60 for local storage arrays.

Check power, rails and network needs

Verify that your rack can supply two 750 W redundant hot-swap power supplies and that the 26.8-inch depth fits your cabinet with cable clearance. The system includes a rail kit and a DVD-ROM drive. Networking defaults to a four-port 1 GbE daughter card; optional 10 GbE NDC cards are not installed. No drives or trays are included, so source 2.5-inch SAS or SATA drives separately.

Expands with PCIe 3.0 and memory headroom

Seven PCIe 3.0 slots plus a dedicated PERC slot provide room for additional NICs, HBAs or accelerators. The board supports up to 1536 GB of DDR4 across the 24 slots, leaving headroom beyond the factory 128 GB. iDRAC8 Express gives out-of-band management; Enterprise and vFlash upgrades are available. The Matrox G200 video handles basic console output.

The server ships with one Xeon E5-2650v3 processor, 128 GB DDR4 memory, a Perc H330 RAID controller, two 750 W redundant power supplies, a DVD drive, a power cable and iDRAC8 remote management. Drive trays, hard drives or SSDs, an operating system, rail kit and bezel are not included.
