Server DDR5-6400 registered ECC kit

This NEMIX RAM kit provides 1 TB of DDR5 server memory across eight 128 GB registered DIMMs. Each module runs at 6400 MT/s with a CAS latency of 52 and operates at 1.1 V. The 2Rx4 organisation and on-die ECC suit multi-socket platforms that require registered, error-correcting memory. It is not compatible with standard desktop or laptop motherboards.

Replacing slower or smaller registered DDR5

The kit upgrades systems currently populated with lower-capacity or lower-speed registered DDR5 DIMMs. The jump is worthwhile when the workload needs the full 1 TB aggregate capacity or the 6400 MT/s data rate to reduce latency-bound stalls. Servers already running at this speed and capacity will not benefit from the swap.

Verify registered DDR5-6400 support and slot count

Confirm the motherboard accepts 288-pin registered DDR5 DIMMs at 6400 MT/s and that the CPU memory controller supports 2Rx4 modules at this frequency. Ensure eight DIMM slots are available and that the BIOS is current enough to initialise the full 1 TB configuration. Cooling clearance for tall heatsinks should also be checked.
