This rubber shroud fits 120mm fan and radiator pairs in both watercooling and air-cooling builds. It sits between the fan and radiator to improve airflow distribution across the fin surface. The 7mm hard rubber construction also isolates vibration from fast-spinning fans. It suits builders who want quieter operation and better thermal efficiency from existing hardware.

Airflow optimisation and vibration isolation

Mounting the shroud removes the deadspot caused by the fan motor hub, letting air pass more evenly through the radiator fins. Multiple shrouds can be stacked with longer screws to extend the airflow path further. The rubber material seals the joint so air is forced through the fins rather than leaking around the edges. This helps systems that run high static-pressure fans at speed.

Limits of the 7mm rubber design

The part only works with 120mm mounting holes and adds 7mm of thickness per layer to the stack. It cannot compensate for undersized radiators or fans that lack sufficient static pressure. Builders needing larger fan sizes or different mounting patterns will not be able to use this shroud. It also does not replace case damping or fan-speed control for overall acoustic management.
