Six-Pack PCIe 16x to 1x Riser Kit

This kit contains six riser adapters that convert a PCIe 16x slot into a single-lane connection using a 60cm USB 3.0 cable. It is aimed at builders assembling multi-GPU mining rigs who need to space graphics cards away from the motherboard. Each riser draws auxiliary power through a 6-pin PCIe connector that is adapted to a 15-pin SATA plug. No drivers are required for installation.

Single-Lane Electrical Limit

The riser carries only one PCIe lane regardless of the physical slot used, so the connected device operates at x1 electrical width. Bandwidth is therefore limited to the throughput of a single lane, which restricts high-performance GPUs to reduced data rates. The 60cm cable length adds signal travel distance that can affect stability at higher signalling rates. Builders must accept this constrained link when planning their rig layout.

Four Capacitors and Mounting Holes

Each adapter board measures 13cm by 4.4cm by 1.2cm and includes four solid capacitors plus voltage regulation components for stable power delivery. A surface-mounted fuse provides overcurrent protection against short circuits. Gold-plated contacts on the PCIe connector resist oxidation over repeated insertions. Four mounting holes allow the riser card to be screwed securely to a frame, reducing strain on the USB 3.0 cable during daily operation.
