8-port 10/100 PoE switch

The TRENDnet TPE-S44 is an unmanaged Layer 2 switch with eight Fast Ethernet ports. Four ports deliver Power over Ethernet to compatible devices such as IP cameras or wireless access points. A 30 W total power budget is shared across the PoE ports. The metal enclosure supports plug-and-play deployment without configuration.

Suits small PoE deployments, not managed networks

This switch fits installations that need a few powered ports and simple connectivity. It lacks uplink ports, SNMP, QoS, LACP and port mirroring, so administrators who require traffic prioritisation, link aggregation or remote monitoring should consider a managed alternative. Jumbo frames are not supported.

30 W budget and 1.6 Gbps switching capacity

The 30 W PoE budget comfortably handles several Class 3 devices but will not power multiple high-draw units simultaneously. Switching capacity of 1.6 Gbps provides adequate headroom for typical 10/100 Mbps traffic loads. All ports operate at Fast Ethernet speeds using Cat 5 or better cabling.
