Capacity and role

This 8 GB DDR3 1333 MHz ECC unbuffered DIMM adds server-grade memory to compatible workstations and entry-level servers. It targets administrators who need error-correcting capacity without registered signalling. The single-rank 2Rx8 organisation keeps the electrical load light for dense DIMM populations.

Upgrade path

The module replaces Micron MT18KSF1G72AZ-1G4D1 sticks in existing DDR3 platforms running at PC3-10600 speed. The jump is worthwhile when current capacity limits virtualization density or forces swapping under multi-user workloads. Systems already running faster DDR3 will down-clock to 1333 MHz to match this module.

Build fit

The 240-pin DIMM fits standard DDR3 slots and operates at the 1.5 V JEDEC voltage. ECC unbuffered design works with chipsets that support unregistered error correction; registered or fully buffered platforms cannot use it. No extra cooling or power headers are required beyond the slot itself.
