850 W ATX Power Supply

The Cooler Master MPE-8501-AFAAG-US delivers 850 W of continuous power through an ATX 12V design. It carries 80 PLUS Gold certification with a minimum efficiency of 90 per cent. Two EPS connectors and four PCI-Express 6+2-pin connectors support current motherboards and graphics cards. Sixteen SATA power connectors provide plenty of drive connections for storage-heavy builds.

Sustained Load Behaviour

The unit is rated to operate at up to 50 degrees Celsius without derating, so efficiency holds steady during long sessions. A 120 mm hydro-dynamic bearing fan runs at low RPM until thermal demand rises, keeping acoustic output low. Active PFC and a hold-up time of 16 ms help maintain stable rails when mains voltage fluctuates. Dual +12 V rails share the 850 W load to limit current on any single path.

Pre-Installation Checks

Verify that your case accepts a standard ATX power supply and that cable routing space exists for the fully modular flat black cables. Confirm the motherboard requires both 20+4-pin main and dual EPS 12 V connectors. Ensure the four PCI-Express 6+2-pin leads match your graphics card power inputs.
