The Dell Wyse 3020 is a thin, fanless endpoint built around a Marvell ARMADA PXA2128 dual-core processor at 1.2 GHz. It ships with 2GB DDR3 SDRAM and 4GB flash storage running the Dell Wyse Zero Engine. A single DVI-I and a DVI-D port drive two displays while four USB 2.0 ports and Gigabit Ethernet handle peripherals and network connectivity. The unit measures 1.4 by 6.9 by 4.8 inches and weighs 1.10 lb.

Suited for VDI deployments with light workloads

This device fits call-centre seats, kiosks or task workers who only need a remote session over PCoIP, RDP or Blast. It is not for users who require local application execution, 3D acceleration or more than two monitors. Buyers who need additional storage, a Trusted Platform Module or wireless connectivity should look at something else. The fixed 2GB memory cannot be upgraded.

Steady low-power operation under load

With no moving parts and an ENERGY STAR 5.0 rating, the system draws minimal power from its 120–230 V AC adapter during continuous sessions. The ARMADA SoC maintains its 1.2 GHz clock without thermal throttling because the workload stays on the host. Network latency, not local compute, becomes the limiting factor for sustained user experience.
