Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4-3200 memory and a single 480 GB SATA MU SSD provide a compact starting point for scale-out workloads. The H330 controller manages the boot drive and up to 24 front-accessible 2.5-inch bays. iDRAC9 Express enables remote firmware updates and power cycling.

Steady throughput in a shared 2U chassis

Four sleds share the 2U enclosure and dual 1600 W redundant supplies, so sustained all-core turbo depends on thermal headroom across the whole chassis. The C6400 requires a deep four-post rack and occupies 2U for up to four C6420 nodes; confirm you have space for the full sled assembly. Only one x16 riser and one OCP mezzanine are wired per node, so multi-GPU or dual 25 GbE plans need additional sleds. Memory currently fills one slot; expansion to higher capacity needs matching DDR4-3200 modules.
