DELL
2U rack server with dual Xeon processors at 1.6 GHz, 48 GB DDR4, two 300 GB 15K SAS drives and a PERC H330 RAID controller
HDD 2 x 300GB 15K
CPU Model E5-2603 V3
The Dell PowerEdge R530 fits two Xeon E5-2603 v3 processors, each with six cores at 1.6 GHz, into a 2U chassis. Forty-eight gigabytes of DDR4 populate twelve DIMM slots, reaching the processor-dependent limit of 2400 MT/s. Two 300 GB 15K SAS drives and an H330 controller provide immediate storage. The platform targets workloads that need core count and memory capacity in a standard rack footprint.
Dual 750 W hot-swap supplies keep the system running if one unit fails. Eight 3.5-inch hot-plug bays accept SAS or SATA drives, allowing drive replacement without downtime. The H330 supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, 50 and 60, so rebuilds proceed while the array serves data. Four 1 GbE ports on a daughter card maintain network connectivity during heavy I/O.
A rail kit mounts the 2U chassis in standard racks without tools. iDRAC8 Express gives remote KVM, power control and hardware inventory over a dedicated port; Enterprise licences add virtual media and advanced analytics. The Matrox G200eR2 provides basic video for local console access. PCIe 3.0 and 2.0 slots remain open for additional NICs or HBAs, but the half-height form factor limits full-length cards.

Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
Dell does not publish a decibel figure; the 2U chassis uses temperature-controlled fans that spin faster as CPU load and inlet temperature rise.
The supplier notes that a rail kit is not included, so you must provide compatible rails or a shelf for mounting.
Yes, the H330 supports RAID 0/1/5/10/50/60 and can present the installed 300GB SAS drives as a boot volume.
