Ready-to-use business laptop

The Dell Latitude E6520 arrives with Windows 10 Professional 64-bit already installed. A 2nd Generation Intel Core i7-2620M processor runs at 2.70 GHz with two cores and 6 MB of L3 cache. Integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics drive the 15.6-inch HD+ LED backlit display. Four gigabytes of DDR3 memory and a 2.5-inch 500 GB SATA hard drive complete the core specification.

Simple hardware access

The chassis uses standard captive screws for the memory bay and hard-drive caddy, so a 2.5-inch SATA drive or additional DDR3 modules can be swapped without special tools. Optical media are handled by a built-in DVD-RW drive. Wireless connectivity relies on Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 for 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0. A Trusted Platform Module 1.2 security chip is soldered to the board and cannot be added later.

Steady office workloads

Under continuous load the dual-core processor maintains its 2.70 GHz frequency while the integrated GPU shares system memory. The cooling solution keeps surface temperatures acceptable for desk use during long document editing or video playback sessions. Battery runtime will decrease noticeably when both the 15.6-inch display and the optical drive are active for extended periods.
