The OptiPlex 7080 Micro is a compact business desktop built around an eight-core Intel Core i7-10700T processor running at 2.0 GHz with turbo up to 4.5 GHz. Replaces larger towers for space-constrained desks

This micro form factor replaces traditional tower or small-form-factor units where desk depth is limited and a VESA mount or stand can reclaim surface area. The jump is worth it when you need eight-core throughput for multitasking, virtualisation or light content tasks but cannot accommodate a chassis larger than the Micro footprint. Buyers who need discrete graphics, additional internal drive bays or a wireless card should look elsewhere because the platform lacks a PCIe x16 slot, extra 2.5-inch bays and an installed Wi-Fi module.

Simple setup with limited internal access

Installation consists of connecting power, displays, network and peripherals; the included keyboard and mouse work immediately. Memory and the M.2 drive are accessible after removing the chassis cover, but the CPU is soldered and there is no room for a graphics card or second full-size drive. The most common issue is forgetting to enable the second DisplayPort in BIOS for dual-monitor use, and overlooking the absent wireless card when a wired Ethernet drop is not available.
