The Dell PowerEdge MX760C is a half-width blade server that fits into a modular chassis. It targets organisations that need dense, general-purpose compute in a shared infrastructure. Two Intel Gold 6434 processors run at 3.7GHz with 8 cores each, providing 16 threads for virtualisation or database workloads. The system ships with 256GB of DDR4 memory across 16 modules.

H755 MX RAID controller and 25Gb mezzanine

The included H755 MX controller manages the two installed 960GB SATA SSDs and supports RAID levels for data protection or performance. A Marvell FastLinQ 41262 mezzanine card adds dual 25Gb connectivity for high-speed fabric access. Fabric A, B and C switch bays are not included, so networking and storage fabrics must be provisioned separately. iDRAC9 Express provides remote management without an enterprise licence.

Six drive bays and 256GB memory ceiling

Six 2.5-inch drive bays allow up to four additional SSDs or HDDs beyond the factory pair. The 256GB DDR4 capacity suits mid-size virtualisation clusters or in-memory analytics, but larger datasets will require a platform with higher DIMM limits. Compute-heavy tasks that scale beyond 16 cores per socket will exceed the Gold 6434 headroom. Storage-intensive deployments needing more than six bays must look to a different chassis.
