Half-width blade server for MX chassis

The Dell PowerEdge MX760C is a half-width blade server built for the PowerEdge MX modular platform. It arrives with two Intel Gold 6526Y processors running at 2.8 GHz, each with 16 cores and 37.5 MB cache. Memory totals 128 GB of DDR4 across eight 16 GB PC5-5600 modules. Four 480 GB SATA SSDs are installed behind an H755 MX RAID controller. Remote management is handled by iDRAC9 Express.

Suited for dense compute clusters not

This configuration fits clusters that need high core counts in a compact form factor. The dual 16-core CPUs and 128 GB of memory support virtualisation hosts and container platforms. Builders who need more than six 2.5-inch drive bays or who require the Fabric C storage switch bays should look at something else because those bays are not included and the chassis maxes out at six drives. The single 25 Gb CNA mezzanine card also limits network density for bandwidth-intensive east-west traffic.

Six 2.5-inch drive bays set the storage ceiling

The chassis provides a maximum of six 2.5-inch drive bays, and four are already occupied by the included 480 GB SATA SSDs. Only two bays remain for future expansion, so capacity planning must account for this hard limit. The H755 MX controller manages RAID across the installed drives, but no additional storage controllers or Fabric C switch modules are supplied.
