Half-width blade server for dense compute

The Dell PowerEdge MX760C is a half-width blade server that fits into a modular chassis. It carries two Intel Gold 6438Y+ processors, each running at 2.0GHz with 32 cores and 60M cache. Memory totals 512GB of DDR4 across 16 modules at PC5-4800 speed. Six 2.4TB 10K SAS drives are installed behind an H755 MX RAID controller.

Suits virtualisation clusters needing high core

This configuration targets workloads that benefit from many parallel threads and fast local storage, such as virtualisation hosts or database nodes. The single MX Marvell FastLinQ 41262 mezzanine provides two 25Gb connections, so environments that require additional fabric switches or more than two high-speed links will need extra modules. Buyers who need an optical drive or more than six drive bays should look at other form factors.

iDRAC9 Express enables remote firmware

The integrated iDRAC9 Express module allows administrators to update firmware, monitor health and power-cycle the blade without physical access.
